Hola! I have decided to kick-start my blog yet again. This will make 3 attempts. I promise to be a good (persistent) blogger!

This weekend is Labor Day weekend. Where did the summer go? My daughter, M, starts 5th grade next week. A whole new school, new friends, and she recently got 14" of her hair chopped off! She's not my little baby anymore. She asked me the other night when she should start shaving her legs. I told her, when she's 30.

On my needles right now are socks, a couple sweaters, an afghan (crochet), and 2 scarves. I joined the STR club this year and I am in love with the yarn. BMFA recently posted their holiday colors and I must order some soon.

My LYS is closing in November and it makes me sad. The only advantage will be that they're practically giving their yarn away. I went this past weekend and bought over $100 worth and paid $32. I was told the discounts will be greater as they get closer to their closing date. I'm sad to see them go, but I am secretly excited about the opportunity to add to my already overloaded stash of yarn. A girl can never have enough yarn.

Before I go, I emailed a couple STR club members and mentioned the possibility of a get-together south of Boston. I would be happy to make some arrangments. Leave me a post if you're interested. I have some hotel contacts who may let us use the hotel lobby/bar/restaurant.
